Balls of wool for lacy jackets ,
Pictures of her little treasure,
Farley’s Rusks and Johnson’s Lotion
Baby talk and hours of pleasure


Grandma’s looking after Henry,
Heats his bottle burps his tummy,
Tells him tales of elves and fairies,
Simple bliss but where is Mummy


Out at work to pay the mortgage
4×4’s and hol’s in Spain
Girlie-talk of men and fashion
This weeks diet -loss or gain.


Off to work for leather sofas,
Nail extensions,Miss Chanel
Packaged foods and job fulfilment
And expensive toys as well


Grandma takes him to the Clinic
Grandma wheels him round the park,
Mummy finally comes to get him
After six and after dark


Finance,equal rights,society
Arguments to fill a tome
Meanwhile,what of little Henry…
Isn’t Henry’s rightful place ……… AT HOME?
